Natural Rhythm might be known to others for their hugely-acclaimed "The Jive EP" on Earthtones Recordings. Their fusion of deep and expansive chords with smooth but tight drumwork has won over many DJs and music fans' hearts. As they produce and DJ continually, this production collective's popularity seems to grow with each release. In fact, this one EP caused such a stir that it was commissioned to be remixed.
Thomas White and Pete Williams, who make up Natural Rhythm, have always been avid music fans whether it was listening or DJing in their native South Californian home. With this love for the music, they quickly set up their production studio and took time to develop and culture their sound into something that took elements of what they loved but what could be brought into the music. The duo even added another element to their sound when they played their first live set at one of their co-operative parties with Jamie Thinnes and Dean DeCosta. Cocoe (percussion) and Pat Bailey (trumpet/guitar) were now officially added to the Natural Rhythm live setup.
Their first recording for Large Music brought us the "Orange Marmalade EP" (LAR-057), and they will continue their excursions into the deeper shades of music on Vista Recordings. We are proud to feature Natural Rhythm on our first release ever!
